How Market Volatility Affects You

Lauren Smith |

We’ve been seeing some volatility in the market recently. Here’s what you need to know.

Today we're going to talk about market volatility. We’ve seen a bit of it recently and we wanted to discuss that with you.

We’ve been spoiled for the last few years. All of the market volatility lately has been the good kind, where the market goes up. However, we’ve seen a recent reminder that markets do go down.

Are we headed for something bigger? In my opinion, no. Nothing has changed out there fundamentally in our market. Markets occasionally pull back for healthy reasons, and this is one of those cases

No fundamental changes have occurred in the market.

Earnings continue to rise, new corporate tax cuts are being realized, and there were about 100,000 more jobs added than expected.

Things continue to look well on the economic front, which we anticipate will translate to the stock market as well. Don’t worry about the market for now. If there are any fundamental changes in the future, we will be sure to let you know.

If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, don't hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
